Annu and Nick grew up surrounded by entrepreneurs and always knew that this was their “calling” in life. As individuals, they both spent time working in leading sales roles in the corporate world, but they knew that all that was just training and the groundwork for something bigger and something of their “own.”
ShawLux Scarves began in 2009 as a design house to incorporate traditional Indian design and craft with modern elegance and global charm. Annu serves as a strong liaison between their counterparts in India working closely with artisans, manufacturers, and suppliers through numerous sourcing trips and open dialogues to produce the highest quality scarves. Each element from the design, printing and embroidery details are watched over carefully to create our final product that we take a lot of pride in.
Nick serves as the marketing and sales guru of the duo. He has always had a keen sense of sales, a vision for the overall brand image and personal charisma and style. This formula has served to be a killer combination in the growth and development of the brand through various trade shows all over the US and abroad.
Together, the brother and sister team hope to continue to grow ShawLux into a lifestyle brand by combining their unique expertise and their personal flair for all things luxurious and fashionable. At ShawLux, we hope that each scarf evokes a journey of hard work, something familiar and a curiosity of the unknown to each wearer.
